About Us

Who We Are

Cast Engineering Company

Established in the 1970’s, Cast Engineering Company was founded on a commitment to excellence; excellence in how we treat our clients and our employees. Incorporated in Texas, Cast Engineering continues to be a leader in the Civil and Infrastructure Construction industry, completing projects involving water and wastewater utilities, drainage improvements, lift stations, pump stations, dry utilities, roadwork, and wind and solar farms. And, with a large fleet of equipment owned and maintained by Cast Engineering, we are ready and able to self-perform nearly all our contractual obligations.

At Cast Engineering, our mission is to build with excellence, every day. We instill in our employees the desire and commitment to provide the utmost level of service, to exceed our client’s expectations, and to deliver each project safely, on time, and at the highest level of quality.

Cast Commitment

Our Mission Is To Build With
Excellence Every Day.

1.  Safety

Our focus on safety starts long before we mobilize to the field. It is a crucial part of reviewing and finalizing proposals, continues through project planning and crew mobilization and is the responsibility of every Cast employee every day. We encourage a zero injuries culture among our crew and contractors, with our focus on safety planning beginning long before we mobilize to the field. Safety leadership and involvement are the core principals of our continuous improvement safety process.

2.  Quality

Cast drives excellence through quality at all stages of the job – from planning, through operations and execution, to lessons learned at job closure. We work collaboratively with our customers, using lean continuous improvement methodologies, to optimize all aspects of construction and operations.

3. Excellence

Our teams are built on strength, stability and experience. Cast self-performs most of our work. To ensure safety, quality and repeat clients, we employ skilled, proficient and dedicated teams. Company-wide, our craftspeople have an average of fifteen years of experience in their trade.

Safety

It’s Our Culture.

Our Zero Injury System of Safety Excellence contains seven critical safety elements that focus on how we manage safety:

• LEADERSHIP
Defines our expectations to lead and support the process

• TRAINING
Outlines how we train and our expectations for training

• PLANNING
Outlines the expectations of our pre-job planning activities such as the Pre-Task Plan (PTP), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Process and the Integrated Work Plan (IWP)

• ASSESSMENTS
Defines how we review our safety process

• INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
Is how we identify causes and system improvements to prevent recurrence

• SUBCONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT
Ensures subcontractors’ safety policies and procedures are equal to or greater than Cast’s

• METRICS
Is how we use both leading and lagging indicators
